PIT Training in Turkiye

In PQA’s latest onsite training session, attendees were informed about the theoretical background, proper practice, and benefits of PIT as a quick and easy pile integrity evaluation method, which can be applied to 100% of the piles. Additionally, the importance of carefully interpreting PIT results in combination with the pile construction report, site geotechnical conditions, and concrete test results was emphasized. The use of PIT in conjunction with other integrity evaluation methods, such as CSL, TIP, and PD, was suggested. The prevention of integrity problems in bored piles through the utilization of the latest construction control technologies, such as SHAPE and SQUID, was also highlighted.
